Written the way Nigeria searches.
A buyer in Ikeja and a buyer in Kano can want the same power bank and type different words to find it. Akoni writes each listing for the people who actually buy it: Nigerian English first, then Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo where a store’s buyers search that way.
Every variant reviewed by a native speaker before it is first published
Five languages, one listing.
Every listing starts in Nigerian English. Pidgin comes with early access; Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo are planned for H1 2027. Variants are added where a store’s buyers search that way, never by default.
Nigerian English
The base for every listing: local product terms, naira prices, delivery by city.

More than translation.
A listing that sells in Nigeria answers local questions: will it last through an outage, what does it cost in naira, when will it reach my city.
The buyer’s phrase, not the spec sheet
“power bank for power outage” is a search, not a product category. The listing is written for the phrase.
Naira, stated plainly
Prices, bundles and warranty terms in the form local listings use, so search engines and assistants read them correctly.
A promise per city

Learn
Reviewers’ corrections become training data for the market-tuned models, planned on NVIDIA NeMo.
Why global models are not enough.
General-purpose models learn mostly from other markets’ text. They write fluent global English, and they are weaker on Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo product copy, and on how Nigerian buyers phrase a search.
Akoni plans to close that gap with small open-weight models tuned on Nigerian listing copy and native-reviewed variants, trained and served on NVIDIA GPUs.
